“I Can Fly!” workshop for Parents and Children with Sarah Gish
Saturday, July 10, 2010 2:00P – 4:00P
$30 per pre-registered parent/child pair (children 6-10 years old, please); $35 for walk-ups.
If you have more than one child you will be bringing, please add $5/child.
“This is a great opportunity to connect with your child (or children) in a unique way: by learning what makes them sing and by creating a work of art together that you will take home. Sarah Gish invites you to come together for a quiet two hours to learn how to encourage children to follow their heart. She will discuss concrete ways for parents or caregivers to help children uncover their passions and children will be encouraged to speak up about what makes their hearts sing! This interactive discussion will be followed by families (or parent/child pairs) creating a piece of art together. We will take a photo of each family group which will be incorporated into the artwork. Sign up early, as class size will be limited.
Each adult attendee will receive a $25 gift certificate for Hollywood Frame Gallery good towards framing the artwork created.
SARAH GISH: Sarah is a mom of two boys whose passions are families connecting, marketing, art, and spirituality. Through her company, Gish Creative, she has marketed several arts organizations, including The Museum of Fine Arts, the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, and Landmark Theatres. She is the creator of GISH PICKS, an e-guide to cultural activities for families and The Summer Book®: A Guide to Houston Day Camps and Classes for Kids and Teens.
